Rix.GG Launches By Signing Top Valorant Team With Ignition Series Invite

The new esports organisation launches today with the ambition of giving talented esports players the support they need to thrive, beginning with Royals, one of the best VALORANT rosters in Britain.

London, July 30th 2020: Rix.GG, a brand new esports organisation, is excited to announce the signing of the Royals Valorant roster, featuring some of the UK’s best Valorant players who have been invited playing in the Mandatory.gg Cup. The event, which is a part of the Riot Games supported Ignition Series, features a €15,000 prize pool and all of the top teams in Europe.

The roster consists of Harry “DPS” MacGill, Jack “kpiz” Pragnell, Tautvydas “hype” Paldavičius, Brandon “weber” Weber and Russel “Russ” Mendes. All five of the players have previously found success in the UK CS:GO scene, but have transitioned to Valorant and are already showing off their skills. The team is currently ranked 25th in the world and has won multiple events throughout the beta and full release of Valorant. This weekend the team will make its debut in Rix.GG colours by playing in the Mandatory.gg Cup as one of the invited teams.

Rix.GG is a brand new esports organization, founded by Jamie Lewis of Rix Digital, with the goal of giving up and coming players a chance to compete full time. This vision is matched by many, with the organisation already securing significant investment through early funding rounds.

As well as signing top rosters and giving the players all the support they need to become world champions, Rix.GG will also be looking to support the wider esports scene. The first example of this is by sponsoring the upcoming UnifyOnline Valorant tournament, which also takes place this weekend. Rix.GG will be the competition’s headline sponsor aiming to give grassroots Valorant in the UK the boost it needs to continue growing.

“We are incredibly happy to join Rix.GG as the organisation’s first official team!” Said Jack “kpiz” Pragnell, captain of the Rix.GG Valorant team. “We felt it was a great opportunity to sign with Rix.GG at this time, they offered us great infrastructure and support for the entire team. They’ll supply us with a sense of stability during these times of development, which we believe is vital to our success. Together with the great support staff we hope to compete for the championships over the next few months. Starting with the Mandatory Cup, as part of the Ignition Series.”

“I created Rix.GG to give incredibly talented players a chance to reach the top, and I am excited to have found a British roster with bags of potential,” said Jamie Lewis, Managing Director of Rix.GG. “With the right support and a lot of hard work, I’m confident this team can compete at the very highest level of Valorant esports.”

“As well as supporting our roster, we also want to offer support to the wider esports scene by sponsoring grassroots tournaments, such as this weekend’s UnifyOnline Valorant tournament. We’ll also be hosting our own in the very near future,” added Lewis. “While our goal is obviously to house the best rosters in the world, we believe that helping the wider scene grow is also very important.”

In the future Rix.GG will be looking to sign rosters in other games, continue to support grassroots competition and even host tournaments, all within the overall goal of supporting the up and coming esports talent and taking them to the top level of competition.
